How to think in English?
When I am writing in English, I think in mother language first then translate it into English. The process of writing in this way make me write slowly. What if I think in English directly? Surely I write faster than ever.

How can I think in English? Practice over and over again. My first language is Chinese. English is the second language to me. Use Chinese to think and write is natural for me. If I want to think in English instead of Chinese, I need lots of practicing.

Here are some methods from others.

1. Speak out the word of things in English.

It’s the first step of thinking in English. When we see something, try to use words to speak. When we look around, we speak out many words, such as car, road, bus, people, wall, table, laptop, blablabla.

2. Speak out one sentence when we see things.

If it’s a simple sentence, it’s fine. Now I can speak when I look out of the window, a man is running. There are lots of cars parking beside the road. An old man is walking with a little dog. It’s sunny today. No wind blows now.

3. Speak out one phrase.

When you can speak out one sentence naturally, you should upgrade to speak more sentences at one time.

4. read aloud article when you read.

5. read aloud your article that you wrote.
