Health is very important to every one of us. We can still live happily without money, houses, cars and so on, but we won’t live happily for long if we’re not healthy. How then, do we maintain our physical and psychological health?
To stay physically healthy, we should maintain a delicate yin-and-yang balance in our daily gastronomic practice. We should make a heavier soup to warm against winter chills in winter or ask TCM practitioners which traditional Chinese medicines can boost energy in different seasons. Chinese culinary practices revolve around how to stay healthy physically, which in turn, is a good way to help us maintain our overall physical health.
Besides keeping physically healthy, we also have to maintain our psychological health. Nowadays, some people suffer from emotional disturbances. While others, lacking in communication skills, are withdrawn and silent. Therefore, it’s important to have a positive outlook. Listening to music can help regulate blood pressure and respiration rates and talking to friends can lessen physiological responses to stress, which is important to our psychological health.
In conclusion, to have a positive outlook and be healthy, we must focus on maintaining both physical and psychological health. Physical health is hooked up to psychological health.
