“embrace mobile”到底是不是拥抱手机？

      11月26日China Daily出新闻，标题是“Across China: China's senior citizens embrace mobile payment apps”，看到“embrace”，我的大脑中立刻展现出父母抱着手机在床上躺着的样子......

      再看看文章中怎么用的“embrace”：

      An increasing number of China's seniorcitizens have embraced Internet-based mobile technology and many have alsostarted to enjoy the convenience of mobile payment apps.

      感觉真相就近在咫尺，“embrace”在这里应该不是拥抱之意。

      其实，“embrace”在牛津词典中的解释为：

      to accept an idea, a proposal, a set ofbeliefs, etc., especially when it is done with enthusiasm。   

      看到没有，“embrace”其实很高大上，虽然马马虎虎可以把它翻译成“接受”，但事实上，用它的时候不仅得捆绑上新思想、新建议、新信仰等，还得有着一股子热情。
