Unlike preparing for the previous working holiday in Australia, I have not collected life and travel related information about New Zealand systematically ahead of time. Why then? Well, I am a lazy person (but I will keep being an early bird), LOL~ I just want to focus on my study and the rest will be figured out step by step.

Let me tell you some interesting things that happened recently. On the arrival day, I got to know Richard, a neighbour living in the same building. I got lost and thanks to his help, I found the right entrance to get my luggage in (There are totally four entrances, OMG!). Richard, in general, is a very nice person, which can be proved by the fact that he offered to show me around the hostel and guide me to the nearby supermarket and Asian food market. I was thankful to him and gave him a treat as reward thereafter. However, I find he is also a weird neighbour being too talkative, even already intervening in my personal life to a certain degree.
I suppose his original family may have an adverse influence on his personality. Because he told me a long story about his family blabla without asking me whether I am interested at all and I can get a rough idea of his stressful and lonely, anyway not so good life experience. Having consulted with my family and friend, I recognized it was the time to end this. Then I told Richard to stop bothering me through constantly calling and messaging me as well as knocking on my door. This morning, as we met again in the corridor, we merely said hello to each other. I come here to study not to be harassed by so nice-looking but ridiculous people.

Yesterday, I went to ANZ bank to have my bank account activated. Actually, it took me three times to get it done finally. On the first day, there were so many people waiting in the line, and I forgot to bring along my accommodation contract as part of the required documents. Then on the second day, I came in the morning to avoid crowds of people but was told that I have to book an appointment in advance. Well, on the third day, I came punctually and met Sammy, who is responsible for this business and it turned out that she is also a Chinese coming from Liaoning Province. What a coincidence!
We talked while going through the formalities and she gave me plenty of useful information like how to apply for a tax No., where to search for housing resources, what to pay attention to during studying overseas and stuff. In the end, we added each other in WeChat contact and she let me feel free to inquire and visit her. It is nice to make friends in this way!
