LOVE - What is love

LOVE - what is love? A great and aching heart;

Wrung hands; and silence; and a long despair.

Life - what is life? Upon a moorland bare

To see love coming and see love depart.

A Good Boy

I woke before the morning, I was happy all theday,

I never said an ugly word, but smiled and stuckto play.

And now at last the sun is going down behind thewood,

And I am very happy, for I know that I've beengood.

My bed is waiting cool and fresh, with linensmooth and fair,

And I must be off to sleepsin-by, and not forgetmy prayer.

I know that, till to-morrow I shall see the sunarise,

No ugly dream shall fright my mind, no uglysight my eyes.

But slumber hold me tightly till I waken in thedawn,

And hear the thrushes singing in the lilacsround the lawn.

好男孩

Rain

The rain is raining all around,

It falls on field and tree,

It rains on the umbrellas here,

And on the ships at sea.
