Bangkok is the capital city of Thailand, with a population of 8.281 million people. It has an overall land area of 1568.7 km2, ranking 69th among the other 76 provinces in Thailand. However, the urban area covers up to 700km2 of the entire city, which means about half of the city area is undeveloped. There are in total 8 Metropolitan Region (BMR) in Bangkok, they in total have a GDP of 247.447 billion USD. However, most of the GDP is concentrated in the central part of Bangkok, and among the central part of Bangkok, the Bangkok inner city contains the most GDP, containing approximately 44% of entire Thailand. Bangkok has a tropical monsoon climate with high temperatures throughout the whole year since it is located on the equator. The annual average temperature is 27.5℃. June is the hottest month of the year, with a maximum temperature of 35℃, and December is the coldest month of the year, with a minimum temperature of 11℃. On the other hand, the air humidity of the city is relatively high as well, with annual precipitation of 1500 mm.
