The Holy spirit

“So he said to me, This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ’Not by might nor by power, but my spirit,’ says he Lord Almighty.” Zechariah4:6

Those who trust in God’s grace and know that God has done all they do know how to humble themselves before the Lord. We must know that God doesn’t dismiss us due to our smallness, but HE will remove us because of our pride. All thing we do can’t decide whether our serving succeed or fail, but we’d like to be obedient and trust in God. When we are obedient modestly, the spirit of God is full with us to let us gain strength, then we can do the work God arranges.

Anyone who thinks that he can work for the Lord by his own power, talent, experience, knowledge will never achieve anything, because the source is wrong, can’t move the human’s heart and there is no real content, no substance. The Lord Jesus says that his words are spirit and life. If the words lack spirit and life, this is the hot air and no one else also gets spirit and life. So, in the Christ, we must first admit our futility, and we can’t do anything if we only rely on our own power. We should trust in the spirit of the Lord wholly to do all work. However, how do we rely on the Lord to do everything? It is very difficult to trust the Lord if we are not clear that the Holy spirit is with us and full with us. Therefore, we must keep on contacting with the Holy spirit, live in the Holy spirit and have the Holy spirit constantly working in us. In the way, when we need to rely on the Holy spirit, the spirit is there. If we have sins and carnal desire in our heart, we will be disjointed with the Holy spirit. The Holy spirit is God. we can’t make God obey us, but we must follow God.

During my life, though I am a Christian, I lack the ability to explain how to contact with the holy spirit. I just follow the pastor’s instruction that I insist in praying and reading the Holy bible every day. On facing everything, whatever in my life, working or family relationship, I pray for them and desire that God can lead me to do right things. Obviously, I experience two different life status before and after I became a Christian. The more I rely on the Lord, the more my anxiety reduces. Christians also face many troubles every day. The difference with non-Christians is that Christians have the authority of prayer God grants. We can pray for all things we will do. There is a warning that “all things” must be right things God agrees.
