Last weekend,I took a bus from Chengdu to Luzhou ,a small city in Sichuan province.
At about half way, we stopped at a rest area to have a break.A few minutes later, I came back to where the buses were. There were ten buses there ,including four buses from Chengdu to Luzhou.I realized that I did't know which one I should get on as I didn't pay attention to the bus appearance when I got on it at the bus station.I saw a girl standing near one of these buses ,I went to ask her if she took the same bus as me.Luckily, she did.Two other girls joined us ,waiting the driver to open the bus door. However, no more people came.It hit us that we chose a wrong bus.At that time ,we heard bus horns which led us back.
Usually, the bus seats are numbered and people should choose their seats according to the seat number on their tickets. The seats on the bus I took weren't numbered so we could sit on whichever seat we like. After getting back , I found there was no seat left. A young girl put her bags on the window seat and she occupied half of the aisle seat.I had no choice but went to her.
“Which seat will you sit on?”Iasked ."I'll sit right here"she answered."No, you can't .You have to put away your bags and I want a whole seat"I said firmly. She then moved to the window seat so unwillingly, grumbling.
After sitting down, I found that the girl kept talking on the phone in a few sentences of Chinese followed by a sentence of English all the time till half an hour passed. It was kind of funny.
It was annoying to sit with her.But I didn't ask her to stop talking.Should I stop her ?I think in such situation you can do whatever you like ,leave her alone or stop her.The important thing is to handle it diplomatically and ensure that you feel comfortable.
