云南红茶简称滇红。产于云南省南部与西南部的临沧、保山、凤庆、西双版纳、德宏等地。滇红制作系采用优良的云南大叶种茶树鲜叶，先经萎凋、揉捻或揉切、发酵、干燥等工序制成成品茶；再加工制成滇红工夫茶，又经揉切制成滇红碎茶。上述各道工序，长期以来，均以手工操作。

正山小种，是世界红茶的鼻祖。武夷山市桐木关是生产正山小种红茶的发源地，至今已经有400多年的历史。又称拉普山小种，是中国生产的一种红茶，茶叶是用松针或松柴熏制而成，有着非常浓烈的香味。因为熏制的原因，茶叶呈灰黑色，但茶汤为深琥珀色。

产地不同、茶树品种不同。这两个原因导致了茶叶的口感和香气上有区别。

滇红特点：成品茶外形条索紧结、雄壮、肥硕，色泽乌润，汤色鲜红，香气鲜浓，滋味醇厚，富有收敛性，叶底红润匀亮，金毫特显，毫色有淡黄、菊黄、金黄之分，为外销名茶。

正山小种特点：其成品茶外形紧结匀整，色泽铁青带褐，较油润，有天然花香，香不强烈，细而含蓄，味醇厚甘爽，喉韵明显，汤色橙黄清明。小种最甜，香，汤水也挺厚实。

小种“甜香”

小种最甜，香，汤水也挺厚实。小种也是入门的好选择。以价格来看，便宜的味重，口感杂；贵的醇厚，柔顺。新手可能不会马上就有这种体会，像前面说过的，会喜欢便宜小种的那种最直接的甜。没喝过正山小种，基本属于不入门的茶客。这部分茶客中包含了许多想入门或者初入门的人，他们不太能接受正山小种厚重的松烟感。于是出现了放弃烟熏工艺的升级版，许多人从正山小种中喝出了桂圆味。不过，如果喝出薯香味就请注意了，正山小种和假小种的一个大区别，就是其中没有薯香味。

滇红“浓醇”

滇红不像小种那么甜，但是浓醇，还有股韧劲。有些朋友从滇红入门，喜欢上那股浓烈之后都不愿意接受其他红茶了，他们对滇红的喜爱，与从小种过渡过来的还不太一样。滇红整体风格是醇厚感更强，大叶种茶明显的特点，另一方面，口感略带些酸味也是正常的。高品质滇红散发出标志性的蜜糖香，并伴有甜甜的花果香，色泽橘红透明，煞是浓醇诱人。曾有茶人说“品滇红，如品云南的女子，热情奔放，气韵悠长，甘香醇厚，怡情大方，喝过便不曾忘，因为从来就不想忘！”
