In the end,we can see Catherine and Heathcliff were together in the form of ghost.It meant their love transcended time and space.

Charles Dickens was a great novelist and his masterpiece Oliver Twist was a story told from the perspective of a child and from olive’s experience we could see the capitalists’ rotten lifestyle and the suffering of common people under the rule of cruel, money-driven upper-class.

奥利弗的名字中“twist”意味着他悲惨的童年和扭曲的社会。而《双城记》以其工整的对仗而闻名。

It was the best of time,it was the worst of time;it was the age of wisdom,it was the age of foolishness,it was the epoch of belief,it was the epoch of incredulity,it was the reason of Light,it was the season of Darkness...

Of course,there were other famous novelists in this age like Thackeray and George Eliot and so did famous poets like Tennyson and Robert Browning.

当然啦，在这个时期也是有其他著名的小说家，比如写了《名利场》的威廉·梅克比斯·萨克雷，著名诗人比如乔治.艾略特呀，丁尼生呀，罗伯特.布朗尼呀。

The last decade of Victorian age was famous for aestheticism -art for art’s sake and Oscar Wilde was representative of it. His fairy tales were never have a good ending and he wrote such fairy tales perhaps because the society in that time was too dark.

维多利亚的最后十年以审美主义文明。以奥斯卡.王尔德代表，其宗旨为艺术而艺术。他的童话从来都没有一个好的结局，他这么写的原因可能是当时的社会太黑暗了。
