Summary
This week, I finished several charpters of the book. The author tells us Su Tungpo's life, from his birth to death in chapter 1. The author thinks highly of him for Su Tungpo's principles and opinions, as well as the charm of his poems and prose.In his opinion, Su Tungpo certainly takes up a peculiar position in China's history. And the, the author talked something about Meishan, the birth place of Su Tongpo. It was comfortable for a place of residence.And the local customs and habits here, which had a great influence on Su Tungpo. Su Tongpo is a very talent kid and works hard during childhood. Possesing a high intelligence, severe in temperament, independent in mind, and crotchety in character, Su Shun was not a man easy to get along with. The good home atmosphere and the brotherhood with Tseyu have a great effect on him. His mother is one of the key roles for his excellent education and she sets a good example to Su Tongpo. Based on the versatility, both the Su brothers passed the examinations with high honors.
Thoughts
人物传记的书本身对我有比较大的吸引力，坚持读了一周，说实话，我觉得每天的阅读量还是比较大的，有些许吃力。林语堂精湛的写作技巧真的让我深深折服，当然，林语堂作为苏东坡的超级粉丝，文中有些关于对苏东坡的描述有点夸张，但并没有引起读者的反感。我惊叹于大师对环境描述用词的美妙，这也一直是我写作的弱点，总感觉没有形容到位。这样的写作功底，一定源于漫长的学习过程和坚持不懈的练习。语言的学习不是一蹴而就的，就好比说了用了这么多年的中文，也没见得自己的中文多牛逼。更何况是作为外语学习者的我，很庆幸自己加入了这个读书会，有这么多书友的陪伴，这是一种默默的鞭策，真的是那句，读书，从什么时候开始都不会晚。
