【across 和 over】

1、我们用 across 和 over来表示“在另一边”或“在对面” （前者是“穿过……到”的意思；后者是“越过……到”的意思。——学者悟）

（1）、His house is just over/across the road. 他的房子就在马路那边。

（2）、Try to jump over/across the stream.努力跳过这条小溪。

②、当我们谈到跨越某个高的物体的动作时，要用 over。

Why is that woman climbing over the wall?

那个妇女为什么在爬墙头呢?（不能说：……climbing across the wall?)

③、当我们谈到从某个平面的一边移到另一边时，要用across。

It took him six weeks to walk across the desert. 他用了六个星期才穿过这片沙漠。(不能说:……to walk over the desert.)

【错】：Anywhere will do! 什么地方都可以。

【正】：Any place【注】因anywhere 是副词，千万不可当主语使用。
