这套房子的重建，刘先生为了实现十七年前对父亲的承诺，整体建筑分为3套居室、公共客厅、公共厨房及公共餐厅，还有一个独立书房及茶室。其中两套都配有独立厨房。最有韵味的就属一楼长廊，长廊贯穿了房子的整体。

整体的中式风格家具配上橘黄色的靠垫点缀，在整体的中规中矩上又有一些跳跃，稳重而不死板，活泼又不跳脱。

在电视背景墙的左侧有两扇暗藏式门，一扇门是通往大厅的卫生间，一扇门是通往大厅电视墙后面的一个独立储藏室，两扇门做了隐形的设计，既不影响大厅的整体效果，而且也不影响功能的使用。

除了客厅是纵享欢乐时光的乐土，餐厅也同样能带来幸福感的提升。一顿团圆饭，精心烘焙的西点，一盘充满儿时回忆的佳肴，都透出满满的幸福。
公共餐厅的设计正是考虑到这一点，为整个大家庭的聚集提供了一片乐土，于平凡中显现温馨。

在楼梯口处的休闲厅也有其独到之处，当人少时若觉得公共客厅略显空旷，可以在这片区域享受片刻的宁静……

圆形茶几、木质沙发搭配米色软垫、圈椅的组合，于厚重中又透出一股温馨，新中式的感觉一览无遗。

这个空间呈现的是独立一套居所的客厅、餐厅以及开放式厨房。厨房的使用比较少，偶尔会做一些夜宵之类的，厨房采用了开放式的设计，既然融要把厨房融入整个空间，在颜色的选择上不能很独特，选用这样的颜色很好的起到衬托的作用。

楼梯选用了白底灰纹大理石瓷砖，护栏则是木质+回型纹图案，并配以一幅泛舟湖上的水墨远景挂轴，中式特色一览无遗。从这里可以通往业主的休息区，下面就是二楼的两个卧室。
