《Up》读后感

1. Up中触动我的地方是:

Carl drew in a deep breath. His fingers hovered at the edge of the page, afraid to turn it. He didn't want to see the empty pages. All the adventures Ellie never had … all because Carl hadn't kept his promise.

To his surprise, the pages weren't blank. And they weren’t plastered with fantastic adventures she had dreamed up, either. Instead, they were full of pictures of their life together.

Ellie had written something below the photo. Thanks for the adventure, it read. Now go have a new one. Love, Ellie.

2. 我对这个情节的感受是:

When I read the sentence “His fingers hovered at the edge of the page, afraid to turn it. He didn't want to see the empty pages. All the adventures Ellie never had … “, I felt like my breath was stopped and I was as nervous as Carl was. The difference was that for Carl he didn’t want to face the fact that he hadn't kept his promise and for me I knew that the following story would have a twist.

My tears came out when I read “And they weren’t plastered with fantastic adventures she had dreamed up, either. Instead, they were full of pictures of their life together. “If you do love someone then you will realize that every minute that you spend with him or her counts. For Ellie, spending her life with Carl was the most beautiful adventure that she ever had. And this scene echoed what was said by Russell – “That might sound boring,” he said, “but I think the boring stuff is the stuff I remember the most.”

That was an amazing echo in the story! Both Carl and Russell cherished all the seemingly meaningless memories, but for them, those memories represented the ones whom they love. For Russell, eating ice cream at Fenton’s, sitting on this one cub, counting blue and red cars weren’t boring at all, for him, they were proofs that his Dad loves him. And for Carl, being with Ellie, looking at clouds, cleaning the house weren’t boring either, they were evidences that they loved each other.

I cannot help thinking that how much did Ellie love Carl when I read “Ellie had written something below the photo. Thanks for the adventure, it read. Now go have a new one. Love, Ellie.” Ellie knew that Carl would feel guilty for not being able to take her to Paradise Falls. She was so sweet that she used her own way to express her gratitude to Carl for being with her and consoled and encouraged him to start his new life.

I love this story! It was full of tears and happiness and my mood rose and fell according to different storylines, it felt like that I went through a wonderful adventure with Carl and Russell as well!
