《splendors and glooms》 was a story write by Laura Amy Schmitz, it was a story who had the cloak of scary story,but actually a very funny story(also a little scary),so it’s good for student to read,and today,I will tell you about The introduce of the page I read this week.(yes,I didn’t finish reading this book,it’s too long，I cant finish it in one week)
The page I read this week have two part,One part was about an old witch sitting beside the fire ,worry about a stone called Phoenix stone ,she said the stone was so danger that you have no idea how dangerous it is. It will burn people alive , and let fire consume people.Of course ,The witch are in danger, but she didn’t want anyone’s help.especially The man most likely who can help her——grisini.why did she do this?no One known.
And the second part Was about :A little girl Clara ‘s birthday Come, so she held a very big birthday party ,and invite many children to come.in the birthday party,They look Manny funny show, like the flying Little elf ……and when they watch the last show:dancing skeleton, because that show are too funny to watch, everyone laugh ,and Clara almost laugh to death,Her mother was very angry with her,And let her go to bad soon,Clara was very sad,so she cry about an hour.
When I read 《splendors and glooms》,I feel style of this book Was:A little scary ,fall of imagine,and a very mysterious, those style led people who read this book feel funny ,strange , happy and want to read more .But I think this book also have some shortcoming: The first shortcoming was The Book was generally difficult to understand . And the next shortcoming was when you read one page in this book.you will ask a lot of questions because The spread In this book was two long, just According to my introduce , can you guessed what this book was talking about ? I think most of the people can’t guessed ,so if you read 《splendors and glooms》,please read all of it,or you can get nothing but the questions.
