The Wayleis a small river that cuts across the park near my home. I like sittingby the Wayle on fine afternoons. It was warm last Sunday, so I went andsat on the river bank as usual. Some children were playing games on the bankand there were some people rowing on the river.Suddenly, one of the childrenkicked a ball very hard and it wenttowards a passingboat. Some peopleon the bank called out to the man in the boat, but he did not hear them. The ballstruck him so hard that he nearly fell into the water. I turned to look at the children, but there weren't any insight: they had all run away! The man laughed when he realized what hadhappened. He called out to the children and threw the ball back to the bank.

上下齿自然合拢，嘴唇张开不要太大，稍微收圆。
舌端抬起，靠近齿龈后部，但不要贴住。
舌身抬起，靠近上腭，形成一条狭长的通道。气流通过通道时摩擦成音。
注意：/∫/是个清辅音，声带不震动。/ʃ/和汉语中的声母sh很相近，但要注意的是/ʃ/不卷舌，是个平舌音。
