I ask them if they grow flowers at home, but they don’t. Vegetables are much more practical.

The harvest thing harvesting happens just as the heads are starting to open up, and they cut really far down so that you get these lovely long stands stems. There seems a way of bunching them, which I think I might have messed up already.

harvesting: The gathering of a ripened crop

Once the roses are cut, they are coming come in here to be sorted and that’s what I’m doing. Basically they are sorted by stem length.

And once that happens, they get moved over to the packing area, and they are packed in sort of careful carefully wrapped in cardboards so you have a line of five blooms, the cardboard folds over, another five blooms, that’s one pack. All are really carefully protected.

bloom: 花;花朵 A bloom is the flower on a plant.

Eighty percent of farm farm's roses are sold back into the city at the Kunming International Flower Flora Auction Trading Center, one of the biggest auctions in Asia.

Flora means all the plant life of a given place or time. So, I'm afraid that I don't think so.

This is where wholesalers go to buy large quantities of flowers at cheap prices.

This is the main flower auction in Yunnan, and flowers from all over the province will come here.

There are about a hundred different varieties and as it gets closer to Chinese New Year, the pace just picks up exponentially.

指数级增长就用这个了~

They have had to bring in 500 students just to go through all the flowers count them, check them, and pack them into all these orange crates.
