在办公间隙的时候，我喜欢听一听油管上面的《好像讲英文》，比较轻松，也能得到一些有趣的英文小知识。今天讲的是如果在办公室帮老板和开会的同事买咖啡。
How to go on a coffee run in English?
run：表示短时间内需要完成
lunch run, breakfast run，donut run
Hey, I'm going on a coffee run, how would you like your coffee?
通常不说，what would you like?
small coffee, tall coffee，在星巴克，short=小杯，tall=中杯，Grande=大杯
black，decaf（低咖啡因），extra cream=奶精，whip cream=奶油
large iced sugar-free soy latte
1 sugar=little sugar， 微糖，two sugar，少糖，half sugar， 半糖， sugar free=no sugar
注意：black coffee (黑咖啡）不等于 Americano （美式咖啡）
black coffee 是 brewed coffee， 而Americano是espresso+hot water

进阶：引申为‘优势“
As far as job hunting is concerned, experience is an absolute edge.
使用edge时，最常见的一个搭配是A has an edge over B。表示A比B更好。
比如，许多人选择在一线二线城市生活，因为相比其他大城市，大城市的文化更多元，工作机会更多。
First- and second-tier cities always have an edge over other cities in terms of cultural diversity (多样化） and job opportunities.
另外，常和edge搭配的还有remain和lose，比如我们想说美国的军事优势还在，不过移民有事正在渐弱，就可以说：
It seems the US is losing its immigrant edge, but it has maintained its military edge. (建议背诵，个人感觉上面一句和这一句都可以做很好的谈资，确实要多念几句，关键句记住，聊天的时候就不怕没话说了！）
经济学人在一篇讨论美国创新的文章中，有一句话如下：
Indeed, the assumption that America is losing its innovative edge is open to question.
的确，美国正在失去它的创新优势这个假设是可以质疑的。
作业：查字典，除了优势，还可以表示慢慢移动，这个很形象，对我来说是一个很新的收获。
例：We slowly edged our way towards the exit. 我们朝着出口慢慢挤去。
翻译：This new E-car has the edge over its compatible products. --怎么那么别扭啊。。
修正：The new electric car will have an edge over its competitors/ rivals.
造句：China now has its edge on science research at many fields over some other countries, but still need more focus and input from the whole society.
