在PTE口语考试中，流利度为王，而在流利度的分数构成中，Describe Image这个题型是关键题型之一。 Describe image主观感觉比较难，但一旦形成了有效的答题思路，将模板烂熟于心，答起来又是比较容易的。有些考生会比较惧怕Describe image中的流程图和地图，实际上，流程图和地图比一些柱状图和曲线图更加清晰明了，更容易找到逻辑。下面我们通过两个例子说明一下：
一、流程图
1、整体感知图片展现的内容
由标题及图片可知，这幅图展现的是植物的生长周期。
2、确定描述顺序
这幅图上有箭头而且是顺时针的走向，我们描述的时候也要按箭头的走向来。那从哪一张图片开始描述呢？通常的原则是：从上到下，从左到右。加上对整幅图的观察，我们知道整幅图展现的是植物的生长周期，所以可以确定：从农民挖坑那张图开始描述。
3、描述
第一句话，永远描述标题：
The flow chart gives information about life cycle of a plant.
接着，按顺序描述出来：
At the first stage, farmers may dig holes on the ground, then they put seeds into the holes. After that, the seeds grow to shoot above ground and we can see some root sunder the ground as well. After heat from sunshine and water from rain, the stem grows up with leaf and flower in order.（按顺序长出叶子和花）
总结：
Eventually, we can harvest seeds in flowers, thus a new cycle starts afresh.(最后一句话，新一轮循环再次开始。)
【 提示：thus a new cycle starts afresh这句话在描述循环类的流程图时基本都可以用上，所以考生们最好记下来。 】
二、地图
1、确定地图展示的是什么地方
标题告诉我们这是一张南极地图，从图片上的轮廓我们也可以知道这是一张南极地图。
提示：考生们在备考阶段要熟悉一下七大洲的轮廓及它们在世界地图上的位置，熟练掌握七大洲的英文名称，同时积累一些描述方位的短语，如：lies in，located at......。
2、确定描述顺序
地图题一般按照从上到下，或者从左到右，或者从外到内的顺序来描述。这幅图可以按从外到内的顺序来描述。
3、描述
第一句话，描述标题：
This is a map of the Antarctica continent.
或者
This map gives information about the Antarctica continent.
接着，按从外到内的顺序开始描述：
It is surrounded by Atlantic Ocean, Pacific Ocean, Ross Sea and Indian Ocean.There are two shelves on the continent as well,namely, Ronne Ice Shelf and Ross Ice Shelf. South Polelies in the very heart of the continent. McMurdo Stationis located at about 2000 km south east of the south pole.
总结，联想到南极科考站：
In conclusion,scientific research can be conducted in the Mc Murdo Station.
通过以上分析可以看出：Describe Image并没有我们想象的那么难。要做好Describe Image，需要我们在备考阶段梳理好各类图片题的答题逻辑，准备好一些模板，并通过练习熟练掌握运用模板应对不同图片的技能。最后再次提醒大家：做Describe Image时，要更多地把注意力放在保证流利度和保证内容上面，这样才能实现分数的最大化。
