“Dear, would you please join LCC training?”
“what?” “leaders corecurriculum”. it’s a MUST training for all manager.
“Can I become manager after the training? ”. “Might be but Icannot promise.”
“If so, No way. Byebye ”
This is the fifth person rejected my invitation. (Sad)

In April 2020, Ibecame an internal Trainer in my department.
“Now It is time for me to open my training class!” (soexcited!)
The first step is to recruit students. It is easy, I was famous Teacher Wang. Myclass was free.
Most important thing is that it is high level leadershiptraining for high potential manager candidates. and Team Leaders. (DearFriends,) Do you never thought you can become a manager? Please dream big!
However, When I invited some team leader to join my class, mostof them respond me as I shows at the beginning.
What shall I do? I can’t fail even I didn’t start.
I tried all kinds of ways. I sell my training in my club,toastmasters are supportive and they are eager to learn. I encouraged myselfand asked managers to send their team leaders to my classes. Finally I got 10students.Great! I can start now! The class was on each Friday afternoon.
The kickoff meeting was soooo wonderful. I invited 2 managersto give keynote speech. All students were there.
The first 4 classes were happy. However after June, some studentsdisappeared. One , two, In July, even I disappeared either. We were extremelybusy because of tight product delivery schedules. And I had no time to preparefor the classes.
In about 2 monthes, when every Friday was coming, I asked myself again, Do I continue or it istime to stop?Would you want to fail in the middle?
At the last Friday of August, I decided to re-start thetraining class even I was still quite busy. I came to the class room early thatday, 4 students came in. We startedagain!
On First Friday of Nov, after about 20 lessons, I finally finished my first LCC training. Only 1student there. Our club President Minli wasmy last student.
I was relaxed but I was a little disappointed. (little sad)
“The LCC training isvaluable but why so few people persist in learning it” I asked Minli and alsomyself.
“Teacher wang, It is not your fault. don’t worry. They didn’t really understand the value ofyour class.”
“I didn’t worry about them. I worried about my next job. I will lead and train team leader groupin my department. But I has no confidence right now. Not a bit. Who has time to join my classes? ”
“Don’t stop. teacher wang. Some one said, You will never
fail unless you stop. As long as you continue, you have chance to improve.
However if you stop, you would fail completely.” Minli encouraged me.
“ Now you have finished first round training. I believe youwill get more familiar with the training. We can think about how to give them quickbenefit to solve their real problem. In this way they may would like to join.”
“Great Idea!”
In Nov 2020 I kicked off first gathering meeting for team leaders. I didn’t mention LCC trainingat all. I focused on their current paint point and encourage every team leaderto brainstorm, and I will pick up someuseful tools in LCC to help solve their issues.” It works. Some team leaders feltit was useful!
So far I have organized 8 classes. I got 5 funs following myclasses. Not too many but It’s a good start.
I will continue! Because, just as Minli said, You’ll never failunless you stop!
