After knowing that I have not travelled a lot in Sydney yet, Ling decided to take me to Sydney Fish Market to have a look, as this iconic location is a must visit place following Harbour Bridge and Opera House. Gary brought a cool bag in order to fill with some fresh seafood so we could enjoy a seafood dinner. Although I am not a genuine seafood lover, I do enjoy eating seafood very much. Anyway, I can tick this item off my to-do list during my WHV. Good, let's start off!
On the Way to SFM
The market was overwhelmed by crowds of people, and it turned out that they were mainly Chinese, including not only the tourists but also the vendors themselves. Being a famous tourist attraction, the products here are quite pricey, but it seems that the fresh and natural seafood is really in demand, with visitors just busy ordering or buying what they were keen on.

There was a vast array of seafood like oysters, lobsters, abalones, prawns, crabs, mussels, you name it, and people can choose to either buy some back home or have them cooked in a restaurant and eat on the spot. We bought some cooked sushis and scallops and enjoyed them outside. There was limited seating especially on weekends, but we found a nice place to sit. It was actually enjoyable to eat while looking at the ocean, which was indeed a good view, just the food did not taste so good as they appeared. Well, maybe this is normal in tourist attractions...
I may not say it is worth the visit, but it was indeed a unique experience. After visiting the SFM, we went to take a return bus. The sun finally came out, so we sat on the upper deck, enjoying sunbathing all the way back home. So nice a Saturday we had...

Of course, we bought some perfect and fresh seafood back to spoil our stomachs, ha~ Jenny and Ling are master chefs and the way they cooked was apparently much more delicious!!!
