QLDB has a centralized design, which allows it to quickly execute transactions without the need for multi-party consensus.

India's Central Bank has Postponed Plans for a Crypto-Rupee
Business media outlet, The Hindu Business Line, has reported that the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is postponing plans to develop a crypto-Rupee. Quoting an anonymous source, The Hindu Business Line reported that “The government doesn’t want the digital currency anymore. It thinks it is too early to even think about a digital currency.” In April of 2018, the RBI revealed plans to launch a central bank digital currency (CBDC) based on the Rupee and the bank formed an exploratory group to look into the specifics of such a venture. The reluctance and change of heart is representative of the Indian government's inability to take a firm stance and define its priorities in regard to the cryptocurrency and blockchain industry.

Report: Merge Mining is the Solution to the Problems of Proof-of-Work
2018 highlighted that PoW is not entirely secure as it can facilitate 51% hacks of coins when attackers control the significant portion of a coin’s hashrate by double spending. Merge mining efficiently addresses this issue as all the work that miners do is mirrored across the chains that they mine coins. In so doing, miners get an opportunity to make profits by earning a secondary cryptocurrency alongside their own. Namecoin employed this mining concept after the BCH fork and has since become one of the most secure blockchains.
