2. It was hot, but the town had a cool, fresh, early-morning smell. （形容空气清新的早晨）

3. Bill tried to talk some Spanish to one of the carabineers, but it did not go very well. （试着用西班牙语交流，但说不明白）

4. The sunlight was hot and hard. （用hard表示阳光刺眼）

5. Cohn had a wonderful quality of bringing out the worst in anybody. （他就是有这种本事勾起你内心邪恶的那一面，have a quality of）

6. I slept like a log. （表达睡得很死）
