《普通高中英语课程标准 (2017 年版 2020 年修订)》谈及“英语学习活动观是指学生在主题意义引领下,通过学习理解、应用实践、迁移创新等一系列体现综合性、关联性和实践性等特点的英语学习活动,使学生基于已有的知识,依托不同类型的语篇,在分析问题和解决问题的过程中,促进自身语言知识学习、语言技能发展、文化内涵理解、多元思维发展、价值取向判断和学习策略运用 ”“这一过程既是语言知识与语言技能整合发展的过程,也是文化意识不断增强、思维品质不断提升、学习能力不断提高的过程。”(教育部,2020)
语篇解读及解决办法:
本课的写作任务是要学生介绍一位科学家。经过了解,知道学生对科学家的了解知之甚少,对他们发明的灵感、发明过程就更加无从得知。结合实际情况,在备课的时候把这个任务变换了一下。要学生结合教师所给科学家们(袁隆平、毕升、居里夫人、牛顿)的任务传记信息,根据本课所学篇章知识和语言知识对科学家进行介绍和分享。

一.Get information for the writing
T says to the Ss : We are going to introduce some well-known scientific figures. Today you will receive information about some well-known scientific figures. After completing this course, we will then move on to completing the writing task.

二、Read for writing (1)
T shows the pictures of Watt、kettle and steam engine,asking the questions :
1.Who was James Watt?
2. What's the story between Watt and the steam engine?
T asks the Ss to read the essay “James Watt and the Steam Engine” and answer the questions:
1.Who was James Watt?
2.What did he improve?
3. How did he make the improvement?
4. What contribution did he make to human history?
