    2019.2.11【Day463】What I Read Today:《The Great Gatsby》P261-282

The turbulent emotions possesse me. I finally got on the right way to read this book which is filled with so many unfamiliar words undoubtedly, which made me so freaked out. Thanks to the beautiful sentences popping up from time to time, I could keep going on this challenging way.

            Here are the delicate sentences:

For a moment the last sunshine fell with romantic affection upon her glowing face; her voice compelled me forward breathlessly as I listened——then the glow faded, each light deserting her with lingering regret, like children leaving a pleasant street at dusk.

The wind had blown off, leaving a loud, bright night, with wings beating in the trees and a persistent organ sound as the full bellows of the earth blew the frogs full of life.

We slid out from the mass of the station into the glowing sunshine.
