Today, XM, one of my cousins as well as her husband and three children came to visit me and family.
XM was one of the two daughters of my uncle who was one of the four brothers of my stepfather.
She was not very close to me when we were young because our mothers were not very close.(Now the two sisters-in-law are quite close.)
However, XM married one of the boys who lives in the same village of my husband.
Her mother wasn't satisfied with the son-in-law because when she came to visit them, she found them were living in a small room in the very depth of the village. Worse still, she found his stepmother was ill to her daughter.
She tried to persuade her daughter to leave the man but she didn't listen to her.
The couple, XM and her husband were hard-working.
They are buying vegetables wholesale and selling them in retail. They earned quite a lot of money by it.
For about ten years, they have earned at least one million yuan.
They have built and decorated a house of five and a half storeys in the town, which cost over one million yuan. They have bought a car of about ten thousand yuan.
Though XM and I married the men of the same village, we have met only several times because I have been working in BL city but she her husband have been selling vegetables in other city.
We only telephone to each other once or twice a year.
Anyway, I am glad they came to visit me.
Maybe we will come back to our mothers' home together in the future.
