Sunk Cost is not Cost

      Where is choice where is cost. When we can’t make a choice, there is no cost. Sunk cost refers to the cost that has already been incurred and cannot be recovered. For example, when we go to movies, we sit in the cinema for 15 minutes to know whether the film is good. In fact, the movie ticket has been bought, the money has been paid, if the film is not good, the most appropriate way is to leave on the spot. Because the money for the movie ticket has sunk and is no longer the cost. The some goes for love. Most people falling in love will pass the blind period after half a year. At this time, they have been able to rationally judge whether this relationship is really suitable for them, but how many people can make a firm decision to break up ? Sunk cost is uncontrollable cost to existing decision making and needs eliminating.

      有選擇就有成本，沒有選擇就沒有成本。沉沒成本是已經付出且不可收回的成本。比如去看電影，我們坐在電影院裡15分鐘就知道電影好不好看。其實電影票已買，錢已付，如果電影不好看，最適合的方法就是當場離開。因為買電影票的錢已經沉沒了，不再是成本了。談戀愛也是同樣道理，大多數人談戀愛，半年過後就過了盲目期。這時候他們已經能夠理性判斷這段感情是不是真的適合他們，但是又有多少人能果斷分手呢？沉沒成本對現有決策而言是不可控成本，應排除其干擾。
