找不准自我定位也许是件好事

1. 给你不怕失败的勇气——龟兔赛跑

Mr. huang said the tourtous is not clever. If it was, it wouldn't attend the destined failure competition _ to run with a rabit.

I am quite similar. I may tell others I am silly in doing laundry, I hate to tell them I am lazy, not smart, I am good at Japanese and French, etc. Actually, I have learned many months while being able to speak a simple sentence. How about you?

For many past failure experiences, I have tried to discover what I am interested in. I have learned CE, chemical engineering when I was a bachelor student. I have worked as an international trader, to sell and buy phamacutical products. I have learned industrial economics when I returned to college to earn a master degree. I also have abtained a position in company to analyze key data points from files in SEC website.

All of the past doings have convinced me that what I have learned is not my real likings.Then one day, I tried to tell stories to my kid and show him pictures that I downloaded from website to help him memorize ancient poems easily. All of a sudden, I realized that I want to record videos to tell stories. I really treasure this discoveries, because I found it interesting and meaningful to my families and myself. I found it amusing to share videos with my friends, old classmates and earn back their attention with grand satisfaction.

Then, at that moment, I realized what I am going to do in the next many years, to continue record my thoughts with videos and words. I found it my real interest.

2. 少一个执念——哈利波特

I am not born to be the one in other people's eyes. I should be myself.

I may feel uncomfortable to be a disguised happy person if I cater for other's expectations. I know I am limited in many ways. For example, I cannot compromise my principle to make myself happy. I don't want to do those things that are wasting my energy and time in revising tiny spellings in writing. Instead, I feel much more satisfaction to create an original document, to state my own opinion, to share my comment, and tell others what I can do for them.

It's really boring for me to take all at once if I have to be a secretary, a good speaker, a wonderful housewife, an enterprenour etc at the same time. What make me feel really enjoyable and powerful? It's not those golden titles, the responsibilities or the fake laughs, but the single role as an independent writer to tell my observation, my mindmap and my accumulated science knowledge.

If I have to say what is the most useful I have learned from college education is, I think it's logical and patient attitude in doing one tiny thing.

Years ago, I have misunderstood what a perfect girl is by trying so many totally different roles in my life, but only resulted in making me exhausted and worry all the time. Then I know I have the room to let them go, and pick one thing that make me really enjoy and happy. That's what I am today, a simple girl, a simple life.

虽然不能自我定位，但是可以怎么做

1. 不断尝试——白天工作搞科研，晚上做脱口秀

If you cannot decide what your position is, do it by continous trying. You may find out what makes you powerful and full of energy.

When I was doing a project in photoshop, I spent hours like solving a tiny concern.

My son always makes jokes on me-- my mom always feels tired and painful in somewhere, however if you let her do the photoshop, she will forget all about it at once.

I call it a mind flow. You feel like hours of time is condensed into a few seconds when you took a glimpse of something amazing.

2. 做你能控制的事——两分钟法则，马上解决

Do something you can control. If you can boil a bottle of hot water, do it now. If you can clean your table in two minutes, do it right away. If you can take a walk outside for a break, do it immediately.

All of these tiny things are making you feel you can master something for yourself. It's the sources of sense of self-realization. It's easy, though, they are useful.

3. 把事情做精细——写段子，反复讲

If one day, you find out your interest, you may devote time and energy to make it a little bit better and better. For example, once I can express myself free in Chinese, I try to make them more constructive. Once I enjoy tell my words in English, I am more likely to use English words search in browser. These tiny improvements are from the bottom of my heart, and I feel no burden to push myself forward. If you can master step 1, you have the courage and interest to get to step 2. It's quiet natural and applicable in other aspects of your life and study.

It's all that I have to say when I finish listening to the class of Mr Huangxi in Zhihu.
