以下这段文字，来自一篇科技论文的conclusions部分：

This study revealed that PVD for watching TV is 3-4 times of the width of TV. Illumination around 500 lx - 700 lx seems to be appropriate for watching TV. The more    deflected from the direct front viewing line, the shorter the PVD is; therefore, it may be a good way to improve the quality of TV-watching by changing the couch to an arc-shaped design for people to watch TV at the same time.

该论文的结论是针对高清液晶电视给出的，按这段文字的观点，电视最佳观看距离是电视宽度的3～4倍，也就是说，55寸电视的最佳观看距离是3.3~4.4米。

再搜其他资料，发现结论差别还挺大的。

其实，看电视的舒适度是一种主观的感受，所谓的最佳观看距离（PVD），不可迷信。论文研究也仅供参考。
