Dear Jack,
I am very glad to have received your email. Thank you for your warm congratulations on my winning the translation contest. In response to your asking advice on translation, I list several proposals as follows. I hope they will be conducive to you
First and foremost, no one can ever learn to do a good translation job unless he/she is interested in it. So you need to cultivate a lasting interest in translation practice. In addition, since the improvement of translation ability is a natural result of long-term efforts and constant practice, I strongly recommend that you should practice with painstaking efforts in this field. Last but not least,
you are advised to carry out more communication with foreigners, which will contribute to deeper understanding of foreign cultures
I do hope that my suggestions can be of some help to your future study. If you have other questions, please feel free to let me know
Sincerely yours,
Li Ming
