About learning English（1）

“A foreign language is a weapon in the struggle of life ”, this sentence I was learned from middle school about forty years ago.

I have written my first diary in English yesterday and read a stupid argument about learning English between Hua and Wang.

Hua said that it is useless for most of Chinese to waste the time and money to learn English. Wang has shown off his rich could go overseas.

Then I was thinking of myself about learning English. I have started learn English from middle school, but about one year only. After middle school, when I got a job in the bank as a teller, I tried to learn English from radio,  the teacher is professor Chen ling. I learned From ABC again, after one year, given up again. Then after two years, I went to University of radio and TV, I have chosen English lesson from TV for another year from beginning and passed the exam.

But since then I lived in China for another twenty years , I can not really use English for anything.

“外语是生活斗争中的一种武器”，这句话是我四十年前从中学学到的。

昨天我写了第一篇英语日记，读到花和王关于学习英语的愚蠢争论。

花说，对大多数中国人来说，浪费时间和金钱学英语是没有用的。王先生炫耀他的有钱可以出国。

然后我开始思考学习英语。我从中学就开始学英语，但只有一年左右。中学毕业后，我在银行当出纳员的工作，我试着从电台学英语，是陈琳教授。一年后，我又从ABC学会了，又放弃了。两年后，我上广播电视大学，我选择了一年的电视英语课，从头开始，并通过了考试。

但是自从我在中国又住了二十年，我不能真正用英语做任何事情。
