    练习材料:Lesson 17​ Always young

    My aunt Jennifer is an actress. She must be at least thirty-five years old. In spite of this, she often appears on the stage as a young girl. Jennifer will have to take part in a new play soon. This time, she will be a girl of seventeen. In the play, she must appear in a bright red dress and long black stockings. Last year in another play, she had to wear short socks and a bright, orange-coloured dress. If anyone ever asked her how old she is, she always answers, 'Darling, it must be terrible to be grown up!'

    知识笔记:本课继续对比美式音标中的长元音i 和短元音I,发长元音的词汇有Jennifer, she, be, least, thirty, seventeen, 出现在字母 “i” “e” “ea” “y” “ee”中,发短元音的词汇有listen, anyone, is, in, this, will, orange, it, 出现在字母 “i” “y” “a” 中。本课发生连音音变的地方是“tell anyone” “is a actress” “spite of” “as a”  “in a” “girl of” “in another” “and a” “if anyone” “asks her” “grown up”。发生轻音化音变的地方是 “aunt Jennifer” “part in” “bright red dress” “had to” “bright, orange” “coloured dress” ,主要是前一个词汇的词尾弱读“t” “d”,本课语法是must 和have to的应用。

    练习感悟:昨晚不停的听原文录音,第一个好处是使我想起了除了机能语外的单音节词汇,其余单音节词汇都读第四声这个知识点。可是即使我知道本课重点语法在哪里,自己还是会在某个地方卡住而停顿下来,而且卡顿的地方和前面那些课文一样多。于是我按照逻辑顺序把课文内容串起来并了解每一个句子中的主谓结构后,全文变得顺畅起来了,然后又开始反复听原文录音,然后开口跟读,然后跟不上的地方就停下来自己慢读几遍,然后听原文录音,跟读原文录音,直到第一反应和原文录音一样顺畅。
