A scientific approach to the paranormal
Speaker: Carrie Poppy
Key words:
Content:
CO poisoning not a ghost event
-
Carrie Poppy went a ghost event in which she felt a pressure on your chest auditory hallucinations and an unexplained feeling of dread
-
and it turned out to be carbon monoxide poisoning because of gas leak
Then she became an investigator in two senses:
-
an investigative journalist
-
an investigator of the claims of the paranormal and claims of the spiritual
Found:
- in her 70 investigations 100% events can be explained by science
- others remain mysteries, but a mystery is a mystery. It is not a ghost
Two kind of truth:
- outer truth: can be testable
- inner truth: believe inside of your mind no matter of fact
because as soon as we have these scientific explanations, we know to give up the ghost. We use these things as stopgaps for things that we can't explain. We don't believe them because of evidence; we believe them because of a lack of evidence
Comment:
