color作动词除了表示“涂...颜色”外，还可以表示“影响”，和affect意思相近。color后面常接的名词是judgment, attitude，例如“不要让我的观点影响到你的判断”就可以说成"Don't allow my opinion to color your judgment."

Last week, a group of high school students from Canada paid a visit to our school in hopes of learning something about the Chinese tea ceremony.
Knowing that I speak good English with a sound knowledge about tea culture, my English teacher Mr. Li handpicked me as their tour guide with my classmate Wu Xiaomei as my assistant.
After greeting them in our principal's office, Xiaomei and I took them directly to the Tea House our school is famous for.
As we passed by the display shelves, I spent some time there explaining to our foreign friends the history of Chinese tea culture and describing the fine workmanship of those delicate teapots on the shelves.
The moment we sat down around a tea table, I showed them the proper way to brew tea. They seemed amazed at every step I demonstrated. One of them even took picture of the whole process.
As I was finished with my demonstration, Iasked them to brew tea and practice Chinese tea ceremony themselves. From their smiling faces, I could tell we had a good time together. Before we left, Xiaomei and I presented them each with a tea box as a souvenir and took a group picture.
This trip definitely helped them get a better understanding about Chinese tea culture, and I am quite proud and excited to heve been involved in such a meaningful activity.
