My name isAndrew, I am a technical person in vehicle industry, I like history, blog and outdooractivity .Recently, I find I have great interested in the European History andfinance. Although I live happily in most of the time, there are two character bother me a lot. They are shy and few words. In order to make some change, I join theToasmasters and try to be a good speaker.

In toastmaster, Iheard many senior member’s speech, they all encourage people to talk abouttheir frustration and failure in the public. It may be a good way to changemyself and to be shameless, in chinese，to be 不要脸。so I will tell my frustration here.

正文 故事1

In the history, many genius were appreciated by great men when they were very young. Oppositely, when I was a little boy, I was judged to be a worthless person in the future. Things is that, one day, my dad bring me to visit one of my aunts, there are many strangers there, I dare to say any words and just follow my dad closely. Then my aunt laughed at me, she said what a shy boy you were, you would be worthless! I felt extreme embarrassed, I didn’t makeany response, didn’t hear what my father and other people’ words. When Irecover to my mind, I said to myself, I will prove that I will be a worthy man,but I didn’t realize I need to change immediately.

I thought I cantake the advantage of my inward personality, such as Concentration. With thisview, I study hard and gain my master degree in mechatronics.

After graduation, my first job is a technical staff in acompany’s research department. In the office, when the colleague were chattinghappily, I always didn’t know how to join in their conversation, so I justlisten or do my own business. There was a female colleague who sit beside me. Iheard her comment on me. she said that I am always shy and silence, the otherman xiao Ming was better, Although he had inward personality, too. This make merealized that the shy boy become a shy man, I still didn’t have any change.

There is an oldsaying that people should make best use of advantage and bypass thedisadvantage. I believe it before, but I think there is a precondition. The disadvantage you have neglected should not influence your happy life, make lotsof trouble. I need to change from now on, for I don’t want to be a shy andlonely old man.
