今天是周六，原计划是总结归纳本周所学的单词词组，但是再抄一遍也没意义，所以决定周六总结本周范例中用到的语法知识。感谢我的同学袁姑娘的耐心讲解，有一个英语老师当同学真是幸福的事情！
1、My parents were not satisfied with it,believing English to be an important tool for any future career of mine.
非谓语动词-分词
一个句子中只能有一个谓语动词，上句中were是谓语动词，所以believe要用非谓语形式。believe与主语my patents之间是一种主动关系，所以用believing，如果是被动关系，用believed。believeing引导的后面的句子做伴随状语。逗号可以去掉，不影响文意。
2、However，it did not help make any significant progress because,being too hungry,I tended to eat a lot more the next morning.
插入语
上句是两个句子，because之后是另外一个句子，所以有help和tend两个谓语动词。being too hungry属于插入语，being是非谓语动词，表示伴随的状态。中英思维差异，外国人说话时喜欢描述当时的感受，这种感受是一种伴随的状态，所以句中多有现在分词或过去分词，理论上说being too hungry可以放在句子中的任何位置，但是外国人使用有一个习惯问题，放在这个位置更加的恰当。
3、If you have a crush on anyone,be prepared to face the worst-case scenario.
省略
上句实际上是两句话，第二句省略了主语和情态动词（是辅助动词，带有情感），完整的句子应该是If you have a crush on anyone,you should be prepared to face the worst-case scenario.be prepared to 为谓语动词，属于一种用法。类似用法有worry，可以用be worried about.
4、I kept doing this for three weeks in a row.But never once did she look in my direction or smile at me,which really hurt my feelings.
否定倒装句
主语之后有一般动词时，现在主语之前按动词时态及主语人称之不同，分别置助动词do、does或did，再将动词变成原形动词。将否定副词提前，主谓倒装。上句倒装前应为：But she never looked once in my direction or smile at me,which really hurt my feelings.once提前为习惯用法。
