《The secret garden》
Little Miss Mary was born in India. She was not a pretty child. she had a thin angry face and thin yellow hair.
Mary never thought of other people. but only of herself. In fact she was a very selfish,disegreeable,bad——tempered,little girl.
When she was about nine years old. her parents died and was all alone.
She went to live with her uncle,Mr Archibald Craven in Yorkshire in the north of England soon. her uncle lived in a big old house. There were nearly a hundred rooms. but most of them were shut and locked. There was a big park round the house ,and all kinds of gardends.
Her uncle was got a crooked back, and was so bad——tempered. althought he was always been rich. he was never really happy until he married.
Mary recognized Ben, Martha and Dickon, and she became good friend with robin.
She made strobger and healthy in the fresh air on the moor. The robin showed she where the secret gardend.
Mary had a lot of gardening and planting to do with Dickon all day. they became good friend.
Mary found her cousin. he was ten. he hate fresh air and worried about his back as his father. he felt sure that he was going to die.
Mary made Colin forget his ill that he left better when he was with her.
Dickon pushed the wheelchair gently away from the house, and into the secret garden,Mary walked beside the chair.
Colin looked round at the roses climbing the old red walls, the pink and white flowers on the fruit trees, and the birds and the butterflies everywhere. The sun warmed his face, and he suddenly knew he felt different.
'Mary! Dicken!' he cried. 'I am going to get better! I am going to live for ever and ever and ever!'
Colin beared his afraid. Slowly he walked from one wall to another, and became a healthy boy.
They had been kept it a secret from everybody until his father came home.
Mr Craven came home and went to the secret garden. The door was throw open. A boy ran out, a tall, healthy, handsome boy, straight into the man's arms.
'Who——What? Who?' he cried.
'Father!' he said. 'I am Colin!'
Mr Craven looked unbelieving into the handsome face of the son that he had almost forgotten.
And so, that afternoon. Mr Medlock housework of Mr Craven, Martha, and the other servants had the greatest shock of their lives. Throught the gardens towards the house came Mr Craven, looking heppier than they had ever seen him. And by his side with his shoulders straight, his head held high and a smile on his lips, walked young Colin!
