Summary

The rest of chapter two is clearly and briefly. Tristran went back home and informed to his parents that he would leave home and go to the east. To his surprised, his father supported him and helped him to left the Wall. And our guy started his journey into Faerie but also the Unknown.

感悟

这部分我觉得最精彩的部分是对Tristran的心理描写，对旅程未卜的那种猜想还有对wall的留恋。
A warm wind stroked Tristran’s face: it smelled like peppermint, and blackcurrant leaves, and red, ripe plums; and the enormity of what he had done descended on Tristran Thorn. He was walking into Faerie, in search of a fallen star, with no idea how he would find the star, nor how to keep himself safe and whole as he tried. He looked back and fancied that he could see the lights of Wall behind him, wavering and glimmering as if in a heat-haze, but still inviting.
离开后，不知道如何找到星星也不知道如何保证自己的安全，然后回头看看家乡还幻想着能看到家乡的灯光。笔触真的太细腻了！！

Chapter Three

In Which We Encounter Several Other Persons, Many of Them Still Alive, With an Interest in the Fate of the Fallen Star.

Summary

Apart from Tristran, there also have two another groups of people are ready to looking for the star:three brothers and three sisters.
Three brothers who are also the sons of the Lord of Stormhold searching for the star after their old father has died. Their father tossed his topaz necklace out into the sky and they were told who find it will become the new lord.
Three sisters live in Faerie, they also are witches and they looking for the star because they want to get their youth back.

感悟

第三章最吸引我的部分是作者对声音的描写。

• ......then said, in high, cold tones, like the granite itself......
• The lord’s voice wheezed out of him, like the wind being squeezed from a pair of rotten bellows.

• ......said four words in a long- dead tongue......
• ......his voice losing power as he spoke, until once again it was the creak of an old, old man, like the wind blowing through an abandoned house.
  像花岗岩、像穿过风箱的呼呼风声、如雪花飘落般的轻，人将死，他的声音也失去了力量，不仅是声音轻了，而且人的权威也将不再。一语双关！
