Financial Appropriation
Shenzhen has developed very fast since China’s reform and opening up. Shenzhen’s GDP even was more than Guangzhou in 2016. As a university named by the city, Shenzhen University certainly should get more cares from Shenzhen. It got the most financial appropriation—24.02 hundred million in 2016. It accounts 77.6% for Shenzhen University’s total income. Sun Yat-sen University and South China University of Technology have the “Double First-rate “, “985” and “211” titles, its admissions score line ranks the first and second respectively in Guangdong. As the two most beautiful pearl in Guangdong’s universities, Sun Yat-sen University got 23.87 hundred million financial appropriation and South China University of Technology got 16.96 hundred million in 2016. Undertaking Income
Undertaking income is universities’ tuition and other auxiliary activities income. Guangdong University of Foreign Studies’ 51.6% of income was from undertaking. But Shenzhen University’s undertaking income only accounts 13.09% for total income.
If you take a look of financial appropriation and undertaking income together, you’ll find in Shantou University’s 2016 total income, only 58.46% came from financial appropriate and undertaking income. So where was the left 41.54% income come from?

Education Expenditure
Although Guangdong University of Foreign Studies’ total income was only 11.12 hundred million, but 99% of its expenditure was on education in 2016. What can you complain when a school pay so much heart on education. On contrary, Shenzhen University only spent 84.4% of total expenditure on education while other universities all are more than 90% in 2016.

Science and Technology Expenditure
Shenzhen University’s education expenditure was the lowest of the nine universities but its science and technology expenditure was the highest in 2016. Shenzhen is an innovation city; Shenzhen University certainly pays attention to science and technology search. Maybe because Guangdong University of Foreign studies is a language university, it spent the lowest in science and technology expenditure.

General Public Service Expenditure
General public service expenditure is for the university’s administration operation. Shenzhen University and Southern Medical University’s General public service expenditure were more than other universities a lot. Maybe the two university need to consider improving their administrative efficiency.
