序言之后（点这里查看上一篇《序言》的解读），今天我们开始阅读《冰与火之歌：权力的游戏》的第二章：Bran。
Bran是临冬城主Ned的一个儿子，在这一章中，临冬城的各位主角将开始陆续亮相。
每位成员出场时的年龄：
Ned Stark: 35
Bran: 7
Theon: 19
Jon: 14
Robb: 14
其他小主的年龄
Sansa: 11
Arya：9
Rickon: 3
Joffrey: 12

本章看点
这章内容简单，却有不少暖心点
Bran 哀求Ned收养小冰原狼的时候，心都化了，我想如果我是Ned, 是怎么都无法忍心拒绝的。
Jon 说服了Ned，让其他孩子各收养一只冰原狼，可是自己却以私生子身份自处，表明自己不配有冰原狼。（心疼雪诺一秒钟）
Jon发现离群的冰原狼时说：This one belongs to me. 其实Jon也是希望有属于自己的冰原狼。（14岁的孩子那么懂事，再次心疼雪诺一秒钟）
长难句阅读
The breath of man and horse mingled, steaming, in the cold morning air as his lord father had the man cut down form the wall and dragged before them.
那么长的一句话，主干就三个单词：The breath mingled（主+谓）。其余全是修饰部分：
另外一句：
He had a grim cast to his grey eyes this day, and he seemed not at all the man who would sit before the fire in the evening and talk softly of the age of heroes and the children of the forest.
对这一句，我们要做的就是：抓主干！抓主干！抓主干！
主干“He had a grim cast and seemed not the man”后面的是整一个定语从句。
从句中有两个and，把从句分成了3部分，但是并不是3个并列句。这里有两层并列。第一层是第一个and的前后句，第二层是第二个and的前后句：
看到类似的长句，首先找主句和从句，然后找各自的主谓宾语，在主语前后的有可能就是定语，其余的就是各种状语。
细节最动人
还记得吗？
序曲中，Gared老汉诉说了寒冷如何夺取了自己的两个耳朵、三个脚指头及左手的小拇指。
脑残的Royce还说：你应该多穿点。（和我们古代那位说何不食肉糜的晋惠帝有的一拼）
在这一章中，“He had lost both ears and a finger to frostbite” 立马就让人联想到：
会不会是上文中没有交代结局的Gared老汉？
事实上，就是可怜的Gared。
