Community service is/an important component of education /here at our university.

We encourage all students to volunteer /for at least one community activity before they graduate.

Anewcommunityprogramcalled/“One OnOne” ////helpselementary students who’vefallenbehind.

Youeducationmajors mightbeespeciallyinterested in it////because itoffers the opportunity to do someteaching

— thatis, ////tutoringin math andEnglish.

You’d have to volunteer two hours a week for one semester.

Youcanchoose to help a child withmath,English,or both.

Half-hour lessons arefine,////so you could do ahalfhour ofeachsubjecttwodays aweek.

ProfessorDodgewillactas amentorto the tutors.

– he’ll be available to help youwithlesson plans / orto offer suggestions foractivities.

He has officehourseveryTuesdayandThursday afternoon.
