Chapter 3 The Letters From No One
This chapter showed the great horror in Mr Dursley's heart when he saw the addresses on the letters given to Harry which read the definite locations--the cupboard under the stairs and Railview Hotel--Harry once lived.I guess that he might be afraid to be revenged by people unknown for his unkindness to Harry. Therefore ,he racked his brains in vain to find a place where letters cannot be delivered to Harry.
The aim of these unsuccessful-delivered letters was only to tell Harry his true identity of wizard, his enrollment into the Hogwarts school and the necessities for the first term in school.
The countdown of the Harry's approaching birthday in the last several paragraphs predicted his new experience full of adventure and significance.
