专升硕顾名思义就是跳过本科，由专科直接升读硕士的一个课程；是为国内专科生或本科毕业无学位的同学(等同专科)提供的一个快速提升学历的途径；
通常需要先攻读4-6个月的过渡课程(pathway program)，通过考核后直接介入硕士课程学习，总共需要1.5年-2.5年的时间；
PS：
1. 如果专科毕业后有3-5年的工作经验，可以直接申请部分大学的硕士直录课程；
2. 部分澳洲学校需要所在专科有本科学位授予权；
3. 五年制大专(3+2) 目前只有堪培拉大学、弗林德斯大学和斯威本科技大学接受申请；
专升硕可选择的专业方向
开设比较多的和容易申请的是商科类专业（包括金融，会计、管理，市场营销，国际商务、酒店管理等）和计算机类专业（包括计算机科学，信息系统，信息技术等）；
个别学校也有工程、设计，传媒、教育等课程；
