Hindley’s wife Frances died after gave birthto a boy -Hareton. Her death made Hindley drunk to sleep every day.
Catherin always led double life. She was rudeat WH but polite and intelligent while she stayed with Edgar.
Soon, Edgar had fallen in love with Catherine.Heathcliff didn’t study any more and worked on the fields all day.
One afternoon, Heathcliff was on holiday. Heasked Catherine to spend time with him but was told that she had invited Edgar tovisit her already.
While they were talking, there was a lightknock on the door. Edgar entered, Heathcliffran out.
