2018年是中国改革开放40周年和中国共产党十九大之后的开局之年。我们将以新时代中国特色社会主义思想为指引，坚持走和平发展道路，奋力谱写中国特色大国外交新篇章。

我翻：The year 2018 is the 40th anniversary of China's Opening Up  and the fresh one after the 19th National Congress of Communist Party. We will follow the thoughts of Xi Jinping on Socialism with Chinese characteristics which is the new era. We will adhere to the path of peaceful development. We will strive for major-country diplomacy with Chinese characteristic which marks a new chapter. 

官翻：The year 2018 marks the 40th anniversary of China's reform and opening-up policy and the first year following the 19th  National Congress. We will follow the guidance of Xi Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, stay committed to peaceful development and make new progress in major country diplomacy with Chinese characteristics.

总结：

1. 第一句的结构和官翻类似，个别动词的选择需要改进。

2. 第二句长句我进行了拆分。区别在于动词的选择和介词短语。
