    ** There is a secret to it **

Imam Ibnul Jawzi said:

2018-05-14 心中的秘密

“By Allah, I have seen those who pray and fast abundantly, their speech is little and their humility is great, and despite this, hearts are not attracted to them in the least, nor do they occupy any status in people’s eyes. On the other hand, I’ve seen those who wear expensive clothes, their voluntary acts of worship and humility aren’t great, nevertheless, the hearts of people are in absolute love with them....

...I contemplated the reason for this and came to the conclusion that it all boils down to one thing: the inner secrets of people. Thus whoever purifies their inward state, their virtue will be made widespread and people will rush to speak well of them.

Therefore, I urge everyone to give major attention to their secret relationship with Allah, for if they’re corrupt, external appearances will not be of any use.”

伊玛目伊本·召兹说：

“以安拉起誓，我见过一些礼拜和封斋很多的人，他们说话很少谦卑很多，然而虽然这样，他们并没有使人们心生喜爱，也不得人们重视。相反，我见过一些穿华贵衣服的人，他们的副功不多，不显得非常谦逊，然而，人们对他们发自内心地爱戴。”

…我思考了一下这背后的原因并认识到这都是因为一样事物：人们心中的秘密（与安拉的内在联系）。因此任何人如果净化了自己的内在状态，他的美德就会远扬，人们会争相称赞之。

所以我鼓励每一个人重视自己与安拉的秘密的联系，因为如果这关系是腐败的，任何外在的体现都毫无用处。”
