Look at the front cover of this book, what can you see? Ah, it’s a rabbit. And who is the boy with the rabbit? Who knows? Please hands up and tell me. Yeah, he is Kipper.

Story starts. Look at the boys and girls in the picture, what are they doing? They are playing football happily. And look at Floppy, he found a toy rabbit. Then he said, ‘Poor old rabbit.’ “Nobody wants it.” He took it to Kipper. Kipper said, ‘Poor Old Rabbit.’

Kipper took it to Mum.

Then Dad washed it.

Kipper brushed it. Chip and Wilma mended it.

The rabbit is clean and good now. Everyone wanted it now. Oh, no. The ears of the rabbit were broken.

“Poor old rabbit.” said Kipper.

The children are kind-hearted, so they can make the broken rabbit well. If your children meet your broken toys, what did you do before and what will you do in the future? Now you can discuss it in groups and tell me.

Then I will take out a prepared broken toy to the children and let them try their best to mend it and play it next. I think they will be interested in doing this thing.

From this story, we can learn some words with their past tense. Like see-saw, say-said, take-took, wash-washed, brush-brushed, mend-mended, want-wanted.

After those, then we can play a game. A maze.
