The UAPC variable window validates your inputs before you leave the view. If there is any error, the corresponding cell is flagged red and a red cross is marked on the tab. The following dialog prompts you to either click Yes to leave the view or click No to keep the view open and correct the errors.
Below is a description of the attributes for the different variables in the UAPC Variables tabs.
Set Point Control (SPC) – SMOCPro writes its output to the setpoint of a DCS-based PID controller.
Direct Digital Control (DDC) – SMOCPro writes its output directly to a DCS-based PID controller output.
**Auto Fill DCS Tag Attributes **
Another way to quickly fill in the attributes is by using the Auto Fill function. This functionality automatically constructs the tag names for all the attributes that accept tag names using the variable Alias, default prefix/suffix and default suffix separator. After clicking the Auto Fill button on the top right corner of the window the following dialog pops up:
Users may choose to overwrite all the tag-only attributes or to only fill blank entries.
