主语从句

• That the college will take in more students is true.
• Whether he will come or not hasn't been decided.
• Why he isn't here is not clear to everyone.
• 形式主语——
• 当主语从句处在句首时，有时谓语结构比较短，会形成头重脚轻的句式，不符合英语语言规则，因此可以 将主语从句用it替代，而真正的主语从句置于句尾。

  • It is clear that the whole project is due to failure.
  • It is said that President Bush will visit our school next week.

• 形式主语与强调句型：
  • 如何it is...that中间是adj.或者过去分词是形式主语，其他为强调句型

表语从句

• China is no longer what she used to be.
• The question is who ++is responsible for++（为...负责）what has happened.

宾语从句

• We must find out who did all these.
• I want to know whether he will come.
• I have a strong interest in what he is going to do next.
• 注意：1. 主从句时态(保持一致）；2. that可以省略

同位语从句

• The ==news==【that they had won the game】soon spread the whole school.
• The problem【whether the new reform will be carried out】hasn’t been decided.

同位语从句与定语从句的区别

• The suggestion ==that== she should stay in the room is good.（同位语）

• The suggestion ==that== she has given in the meeting is good.(定语从句）

  • 关系词that补充当成分为同位语从句，充当成分为定语从句

• I have a question which he will choose.

• I have a question which he also wants to know.

• The question who will take his place is still not clear.

• The boy who was praised by the teacher is my brother.

  • which：哪一个→同位语从句；不能则定语从句
  • who：谁→同位语从句；不能定语从句

• Do you still remember the date when our country won the indepence.

• Do you still remember the question when the teacher wants to know the result.

  • when：前面是时间→定语从句，不是→同位语从句
  • where：前面是地点→定语从句，不是→同位语从句
