Motivation is at the heart of writing.

作者提出写作的动机很重要，有好的驱动力，才会持久不断地去写。想想小时候写作，都是被逼迫地去写日记或者是周记，想想其实是毫无动力坚持下去的。

作者在第十二章节谈到访谈题材的写作技巧，提到要学会引导被采访者说出内心想法，并且在采访中采访者也要take heart。

采访前要做好准备工作，准备好问题清单，never go into an interview without doing whaterver homework you can.

采访中使用tape recorder和take notes, 在此还要掌握一些速记的技巧，然后在通过对照录音以及速记笔记来进行整理和刷选重要的信息，重组为一篇真实表达被采访者意愿的采访稿。

对于采访，首先要让人能够开口和你说话沟通，when you get people talking, handle what they say as you would handle a valuable gift.
